Altamont 4th of July “We The People, 250 Years of Freedom” Parade and Celebration

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026

Location: Starts at North Elementary School (Altamont, TN); travels down Main Street to Fitchtown Road, ends at new parking lot beside Courthouse.

Schedule:

• Parade lineup: 12:00 PM

• Parade starts: 1:00 PM

• Scavenger Hunt: 2:00–4:00 PM (City Hall → Ball Field)

• Cornhole Tournament: 2:30 PM (City Hall parking lot)

• 4-Wheeler Mud Bog: 3:30 PM (Ball Park)

• Kayak Race: 4:30 PM (Lake behind ballfield)

• Live Music (Locke and Loaded): 6:00–9:00 PM (Ball Park)

• Fireworks: at dark

Prizes (various categories):

• Parade floats/entries: 1st $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100

• Scavenger Hunt: 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100

• Cornhole: 1st $125, 2nd $100, 3rd $75

• Kayak: 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $75
